Aida Cardenas Member

Aida Cardenas is the Executive Director of Building Skills Partnership (BSP).

BSP is a unique training collaboration between janitors union (SEIU) 1877 and member employers that endeavors to advance the skills of and increase opportunities for building service workers in California. Ms. Cardenas was instrumental in the creation and expansion of this statewide collaboration.

Ms. Cardenas has more than 12 years of experience in organized labor coordinating and directing educational and leadership development programs. She has also been extensively involved in contract negotiations for union workers, and conducting campaigns to organize janitorial and other low-wage workers.

Ms. Cardenas received her Bachelor’s Degree in History, with a specialization in Labor and Workplace Studies, from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
