Jesse Cuevas
Jesse Cuevas was appointed to Chief for the Los Angeles/Coastal Workforce Services Division (LACWSD) for the Employment Development Department (EDD). The LACWSD has administrative oversight of 12 distinct local workforce development areas within LA County/City and the Coastal Cities, including Oxnard, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey and Santa Cruz.
Jesse’s career started with EDD in 1997 as a Student Assistant in the Youth Employment Opportunity Program. Jesse has worked in various capacities, including roles with Workforce Services and Unemployment Insurance, as well as the EDD Directorate, and has also served as a cluster manager in the LA Metro area. Prior to joining EDD, Jesse worked for the California Veterans Administration – Veterans Home of Chula Vista in San Diego.
