Sergio Rascon currently serves as the Business Manager for the Laborers Union Local 300. In 1989 he was elected to the Executive Board of Local 300 and soon began his ascendency through the ranks of Local 300. He has served as the Business Manager and President of Local 300 since 1995.

Mr. Rascon served on the Metropolitan Water District's Board of Directors from 1997 to 2001. While serving as a MWD Board Member, he held the positions of Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on Organization and Personnel, served on the Budget and Finance Committee, and the Legal Claims Committee. Mr. Rascon also served as a Los Angeles City Commissioner on the Convention and Exhibition Center Bureau from 2002 to 2005.

Mr. Rascon currently serves on the National Executive Board of the Latin American Council for Labor Advancement as a National Vice President. He also serves as a delegate to the California Consumer Federation, the California Federation of Labor, and the A. Philip Randolph Institute, and as a representative on the L.A. County Federation of Labor Executive COPE Board.
