Kenya Croom

Kenya Croom is the CEO of A Step to Freedom, a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing, wrap-around programs, and supportive services to individuals who have been impacted by the justice system and those experiencing homelessness, enabling them to achieve self-sufficiency. Ms. Croom has over 20 years of executive management leadership in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations focused on housing and program development, strategic planning, leadership development, and fiscal management.

Ms. Croom holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University. In recognition of her advocacy for the Los Angeles community, Ms. Croom was honored with the Empowerment Congress Civic Leaders 40 Under 40 Award in 2019. Ms. Croom is an active member of the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is a dedicated member of the Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Inglewood Chapter.
